Dianthus 'Carnation' is an herbaceous perennial plant in the family Caryophyllaceae and is native to Europe and North Africa. It can produce blooms from late spring through early summer with flowers that are usually pink or white with fringed petals and has a sweet scent that attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies. They make excellent additions to gardens, borders, containers, window boxes, rockeries, hanging baskets, bouquets – just about anywhere!
