The Chinese adore beautiful blooms, as they believe flowers bring about luck. The Pedilanthus produces small pinkish-red flowers which resemble dainty sparrows perched amongst the bracts. Definitely a striking plant to have for its interesting and unique blooms (to bring about luck).
