Chrysalidocarpus lutescens/ Dypsis lutescens, or better known as Yellow Palm, Areca Palm, or Golden Cane Palm, is one of the most popular palms in tropical and subtropical climates. The common name derives from the beautiful golden yellow leaves that grow on long petioles and curve upwards. It has reed-like stems, topped with numerous yellow-green fronds which have feather-like appearance arranged close to one another in a neat compact lines along the stems.
Because of its dense and clustering growth habit, Yellow Palm primarily can be used as a hedging or screening plant to create a little privacy from your neighbour, or also cover or hide any unsightly corners of your home. It has the ability to filter the air around us and add moisture to the surrounding atmosphere.
