Coco fibre or coir is a natural fibre extracted from the husk of coconut, It is used as a substitute for sphagnum (peat moss) or peat for its environmentally friendly. Coconut fibre is also useful to deter snails from delicate plantings, and as a growing medium in intensive greenhouse horticulture. Mixed with sand, compost and fertilizer to make good quality potting soil.
