Universally regarded as the harbinger of Spring, the multiple fluffy blossoms of the willow are associated with bountiful fortunes. The silver blossoms resemble silk which will give forth to young shoots in the colour of jade green. The Chinese enjoy such signs of growth, as it represents new beginnings and the forthcoming of prosperity.
